It would be nice to get on a tree and look from up there at the ongoing flow of life,
and discover - for instance - that each single dawn is different from the previous one.
But would we be happy all the same, after having looked at manhood?
On our tree, and on our own, we could only see the endless trips of cars,
vans, trucks, buses, and then crazy, invisible men.
Heads that come out of little windows, obliquous glances, tired eyes that will never see us.
Above the tree, from Italy.
Sometimes we still look for the right tree to go on. Probably it's the country one, close to the path where children and elder men walk, and where the people passing by are still able to realize that you're there, living calmly on your tree.
So, in the end, there will be time for smiling to the child, chatting - by voice - to the man and asking to the elder how long and tiring is the road we still have to walk.
