I’ve always hated those definitions that are often attached to musicians and their music. So I’ll try not to tell you what’s the music genre the Slowmovies play. However, the post title could help you... but their tunes can do it better, no doubt. The Slowmovies are an Italian wandering band with Sicilian roots and (winter) residence in Veneto. Their rarefied and dreaming atmospheres, like those of some films, remind me of the faraway places where I spent my last holidays. Beaches and villages that are surrounded by water and at the feet of high mountains. Lands where time is ruled by the lighthouses on the reefs. The Slowmovies, coming from faraway, tell to the city men their nostalgia.
