A new utopic community is arising
Between 6 and 7 May 2012 (depending on locality**) the beta version of www.utopicmusic.com will be launched. It is a new completely free portal dedicated to independent music, released with Creative Commons licenses.
This site will be a geolocated search engine for music addressed to artists, listeners and clubs, with some relevant features of social networking.
Everybody who is interested in music should have the possibility to discover new music, without limits, technological filters or legal bans. Searching must be easy, funny, effective. On UtopicMusic, all artists that will sign in will have the same chances to be listened to by a virtually infinite audience, regardless of the number of “friends” or of the physical place they come from. London, Tokyo, Milan music scenes will be very easily reachable, as well as any small provincial music scene anywhere in the world.
On UtopicMusic it will be possible to create events exactly where they will take place. Any user, either registered or not, will be able to access this useful information without being bombarded with notifications. Listeners can create personal playlists, and also directly influence popularity charts that will gradually appear on the platform, with the increasing number of registered users.
UtopicMusic invites all the musicians to sign in as Artists an upload their own music, by choosing one of the six Creative Commons licenses available
