Onirica
“Onirica” (“Dreamy”): it's the title of one Locomitif's track that perfectly describes their feeling and proposal.
Among electronic allusions, never trivial pop and a sprinkle of folk this band coming from Catania in Sicily moves freely among Portishead, singer-songwriter songs and the Yo la Tengo, always keeping an enviable balance.
Federica's voice with its Grandaddy's sprinkle and a Notwist's touch, is dominant but never intrusive in any tracks. No place for guitars in this band and it's probably thanks to this too that their sound feels 'light', with so soft and nearly intangible themes.
The band itself says: “We would like very much if someone of you makes love with one of our songs in the background at least once in his or her own life, anywhere in the world.”
Give them a chance!!!
