Sometimes they return
If you think it’s difficult to make a good musical CD these days imagine how difficult it must be, after a major success, to come out with a second CD knowing that there will inevitably be comparisons and even comments regarding the group’s new line up etc. etc.
This is the case of Sarah Schuster, who returns to the Utopic Music Blog spotlight with her new work Possibilities. She delights us once again with her distorted, hypnotic ballads, hinted melodies and musical portraits that struggle against conformity. This exquisite piece of work should be listened to from beginning to end to truly understand it’s beauty.
Songs like The Photographer”, “Delusional”, “Erasmus” seem to all have a combination of musical styles that range from The XX to Boss Hog passing through PJ Harvey. Her music and words send many signs of affinity but never leaving any precise referral.
Let yourself be transported by Sarah Schuster and you’ll be happy you have.
