From East to West
Tradition or innovation? Instinct or reason? Technical precision or pure passion? Does come from Eastern or western way of thinking?
Can’t we just once we say that it is possible that tradition works with innovation, instinct can exist along side with rationality, technical precision is really helped by passion, eastern thought stimulates western way of thinking and vice versa?
These adjectives are generally considered opposites of one another, however, in reality they are really the two sides of the same coin. The very essence of the idea of ying and yang.
Believe me if you listen to the group called Farabutto you can help to understand this complex concept a bit more.
Luca, Sbibu and Niccolò are able to break down those compartmental stereotypes that many of us have .They are very convincing by giving the listener the key to unlock the secret of their music.
Their use of instrumentation that goes beyond traditional canons containing an interesting combination of classical guitar , electric mandolin and ground drums. The trio from Verona are able to unite a catchy yet experimental sound that is able to ideally connect a mixture of styles whether it be singer song writer songs and avant -jazz or a combo of rock and folk.
The lyrics by Luca Zevio work with the music perfectly to create a true sensation of sound and emotions. ‘Gioia’ and’ Retorica’ are only two simple yet magnificent masterpieces of this CD.
Don’t let this unique and total experience escape you.
Stay tuned
