THINK SO LOUDLY!
It's pointless fighting it…the truth is my life changes drastically when autumn rolls around : the days grow shorter, it becomes colder and the rain pours down for days on end.
My sullen mood keeps me company as I sip a cup of tea staring out at the different colors leaves falling from the trees only to be swept away by the wind.
Simona Gretchen reminds me of this melancholic season. She knocks you off your feet with her emotonal musical interpretations. She invites you to observe serentity from a window then without any notice switches the scene where anger and hostility are certainties. Every now and then she caresses you gently to avoid the complete dismembering your soul.
"Gretchen pensa troppo forte" is more than a simple title for a cd. It is a reality. Simona thinks and screams too loudly to leave us indifferent. Don't say I didn't warn you.

WHICH SIDE TO CHOOSE?
Nostalgia usually creeps into conversations amongst friends especially when speaking about the childhood memories and teenage years . Music has the same effect. Emotions and music usually go hand in hand.
I'd be a liar if I told you that I was not completely moved and delighted to hear " Il cielo" by Karma once again. This group was an emerging 90's band from Milano . I listened to that cd a at least a thousand times.
This great song has been reinterpreted by Facciascura, a band from Verona, and almost sounds better than the original thanks to the voices of Carlo Cappiotti and David Moretti.
As for the rest of the cd " Quanti ne sacrifcheresti?" , Facciascura's debut album, has an incredible freshness using typical yet natural 90's sounds without sacrificing any its character. 'Boring' could never be used as a description. 'Ventimila sere sotto il mare' moves you just like a great ballad, 'Cavie' o ' La fame' hits your heart with its cutting guitar and raw lyrics.
Rock has returned and Facciascura has made an excellent entrance on stage.

A slow revolving turntable to ease an upset stomach
I have a terrible stomach ache today. To get my mind off my state of health I'm listening to the far away voice of Hiiragi Fukada. How many miles away is Tokyo? There are seas to cross, mountains to climb and a multitude of cultures to meet before arriving in that ancient land.
Airplanes help us reach our destinations and internet connects us all regardless of distance. Nowadays, it is all about speed. However, I feel the need to take time out and travel the road step by step.
Hiiragi Fukada's turntable is slow. His voice is filled with tranquility. Around him a simple, minimalistic scene is set by acoustic guitars and little else. Distant echos seem to be evoke everywhere.

STARDOG: BE AWARE!!!
It sometimes happens that you meet a person, a musician in this case, and because of a music interview everything changes in a split second .
You arrive at the train station, looking for a person you’ve never seen before. You find him and help him to put his guitar in your car . Inevitably, the two of you start talking about music and abracadabra ..a miracle occurs . He no longer is a total stranger, but has become one of your best friends and you unbelievably agree with him on almost every topic you speak about .
I’m not joking . We’re talking about the power of music !!!
Stardog is a great project in which Manuel (the musician in question ) combines refined sounds with his songwriter approach (listen to Canzone del Dove or Quale Estate), even if sometimes his rock attitude(and we like it) surfaces in songs like L’avventura or in Il lamento di Bardamu..
‘Oltre le nevi di piazza Vetra’ is a great album that is capable of surprising everytime.
