MANHAN - Japanese roots music in Italy soon!

The Japanese duo will be our host and play around

Dear friends,

after a lot of work, we have the chance to know, meet, see and, above all, listen to one of the bands we contacted and dealed with in the past. I'm talking about Manhan, a Japanese ethnic improvisation duo - you're listening to some of their songs - that we're going to host in Italy from September the 28th until October the 6th.

The musicians that are part of this band are Hikari Soma and Miura Ici-go. They play bells, percussions, bamboo sax & bamboo flute, guitar, tuning forks and many other traditional Japanese instruments. The latter ones are massively used in Manhan live gigs, which are based on sampling and looping the sounds of tradition, mixing them together in a new, modern way.

Don't lose the chance to see them live in Italy. At present date we're defining the complete list of their gigs, which will be between Venice and Padua neighborhoods. Contact us or follow the blog during the next weeks to have more news about Manhan Italian live shows. We really hope you'll enjoy with us these exciting, really particular live acts... Music is about feelings, and the way these feelings are shared and transmitted. Discovering new and different  (coming from so faraway places...) ways these feelings can be told is something that make us better people...

Stay in touch,

Carlo Trevisan
